Katrina out of item number

In the latest news actress Katrina Kaif has been disallowed to act in a special item number which will be part of her film ‘Raajneeti‘. In the film she will be in a de-glam avtaar.

She is in role of a politician in the film. Therefore the director decided that she should be kept away as her looks should not be messed up. Director Prakash Jha feels that is Katrina becomes part of item number too then it will take away the seriousness of the character in the film.

Katrina herself is interested to be part of the song but let’s see what’s written in her fate. Also these days she is under the influence of actor Salman Khan who too has become an obstacle in growth of her career.

Kareena just cant stop looking glamorous !

Kareena Kapoor is the hottest actress Bollywood has seen in recent time and they dont call her hot and glamorous for no reason.Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the most awaited movie of the year 3 Idiots,had a hard time de glamorising the actress.

Rajkumar Hirani said that he wanted Kareena in a de glam look so he got her make up removed but even then the Bollywood Blue Blood looked like a star.To make her character look convincing,Kareena was made to wear thick glasses.

“To some extent we managed to bring down the glamour quotient. In hindsight, I would say that it was not an easy task to de-glam Kareena Kapoor in the film.”the director added.
With only a few days left for the release,lets keep our fingers crossed that All Izz Well !!

The star cast of 3 Idiots include Aamir Khan,Sharman Joshi,R. Madhavan,Boman Irani and is all set to release on Christmas.

Narmmadaa glams up for Bollywood

Narmmadaa when escorted smart hunk Salman Khan during the IIFA Awards a year ago there has been speculation that Govinda’s beautiful daughter Narmmadaa Ahuja would enter Bollywood. It’s now clear that the glam girl will soon follow her father’s footsteps into the world of cinema.

Narmmadaa Ahuja is said to be a spunky girl, who’s full of enthusiasm. Though Narmmadaa carries off Indian as well as western looks and styles almost effortlessly, the upcoming Bollywood star might best fit the ‘glamour girl’ image. Narmmadaa has already been apparently signed by a famous producer. I think this is enough for now…

Let’s see will she create magic on screen or not.

Bina Rai passes away

The legendary actress Bina Rai, who acted in Anarkali and Taj Mahal, and also had won a Filmfare award for Ghunghat, died last Sunday. She was seventy eight years old and died of a heart attack at her home in Mumbai.

The actress had entered the industry by going on a hunger strike by convincing her parents to allow her to act in movies. Her debut film was Kali Ghata directed by Kishore Sahu. Late on she had featured in movies like Vallah Kya Baat Hai (1962), Bandi (1957), Changez Khan (1957), Durgesh Nandini (1956), Marine Drive (1955) and Aurat (1953). She is still remembered for her films Anarkali (1953) and Taj Mahal (1963).

She is survived by two sons – Prem Kishan and Kailash Nath. She was married to actor Prem Nath. Her grandson Sidharth is a successful TV director who wielded the megaphone for serial Sanjivani.

Akki wears borrowed clothes

A true professional, the real khiladi Akshay Kumar who will be seen next in Nikhil Advani’s Patiala House, has to wear borrowed clothes by three shop owners in Southall, London, and much to his appreciation Akshay still hasn’t thrown any tantrums.

The character Akshay plays in the film is of a Punjabi munda who is running a corner store in Southall and is a helping hand to his father. Since Nikhil Advani wanted all the characters in Patiala House to look authentic, the director went to a lot of corner stores in Southall and then finally decided on three men who resemble Akshay Kumar’s height and personality. He interacted to them and got them to lend a few clothes to Akshay for the film.

Patiala House also stars Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi fame Anushka Sharma and Dimple Kapadia with Rishi Kapoor. Major portion of the film will be shot in Southall and the flick will be released in Diwali next year. Read more on horoscope of Akshay Kumar.

Deepika with Farhan

Very recently we have heard the news about the breakup of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Also the news was that Deepika is keeping herself busy so as to keep away memories of Ranbir. But now the news is that there’s a new man in life of Deepika Padukone. He is director turned actor Farhan Akhtar.

According to sources Farhan and Deepika have got closer during the making of the film ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’. The sources say, “Deepika’s break-up with Ranbir happened while ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ was still being made. Since Farhan is her co-star, the two really bonded well to the extent that it seems Farhan is the special person in Deepika’s life.”

The two stars haven’t yet been spotted together; therefore it’s still a mystery. Both are unavailable for comment.

Bachelor Karan Johar

The most eligible bachelor Karan Johar these days is receiving mails asking him to marry the sender. The recent incident shows that now the time has come he should decide something for himself, and choose a life partner very soon.

Few days back Karan had received a mail in which fan from Uzbekistan had proposed him to marry. She had also mailed a specially designed carpet which has his image on it. And after few days of the mail, he received a parcel which had that carpet. It had a love letter too and girl named herself as Dilbahar. He felt happy for the love his fans have for him, but he also felt embarrassed with such a situation arising.

Karan is currently working on remake of ‘Stepmom’ for which he has shooted in Australia also.

Lata Mangeshkar receives French honour

The one and only eternal pride of India Lata Mangeshkar would be conferred with the French award ‘Insignia of Officer de la Légion d’Honneur’ on 2nd December 2009. Awarding this ‘Living Goddess’ is just like showing candle to the sun, and the honours she has brought to this country is beyond measures.

This renowned singer who is better known as the ‘Nightingale of India’ will be decorated with the award in an official ceremony which will be hosted by Ambassador of France to India, Mr. Jérôme Bonnafont. The occasion is of the French cultural Festival ‘Bonjour India’ which will be held from 2nd to 6th December in Mumbai.

The lady has welcomed the award with all grace and poise. Other personalities who have been conferred with this award are the legendary greats like Steven Spielberg, the late Satyajit Ray, and Amitabh Bachchan.

‘Idiot’ creating stirs

Actor producer Aamir Khan and the much hyped word ‘idiot’ is creating stirs in the media. Now one more statement has been added. Recently Aamir Khan has said, “Albert Einstein was an idiot.”

According to Aamir the word ‘idiot’ is no more derogatory and it is used for those who follow their minds. This has been proved by his film ‘3 Idiots’ which will be releasing on Christmas Eve.

For placing himself in the role of idiot Aamir has worked hard. It was difficult to transform from ‘Ghajini‘ to an ‘idiot’. He was on a strict diet for around six to seven months so as to get a lean body as well a boyish look. Also he observed a lot of things of his twelve year old nephew so as to inculcate the same energy and excitement in him.

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel, in the film ‘3 Idiots’ Aamir is in role of Rancho, and R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in role of Farhan and Raju respectively. The character of idiot is close to Aamir.

Dutta and Bhupati together

After Kelly Dorjee and Dino Morea, a new name has been added in the life of actress Lara Dutta. The name is of ace tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi with whom the actress is living in London. The couple are said to be staying in the same suit in the JW Marriott hotel and are often spotted together.

Their relationship has been a talk of the B-Town for some time, and now the actress has accepted it too. Recently the actress has been heard saying that she enjoyed going out with Mahesh. But she has also said that he wasn’t the only man she was going out with. For her it is too early to commit in any relationship.

Her recent flick was ‘Blue’ wherein she acted alongside Akshay Kumar. Her other co stars were Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan.
